We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and inspiring Maths Specialist to teach mathematics from Year 3 to Year 8, fostering confidence, fluency, and enjoyment in the subject. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a vibrant and ambitious mathematics curriculum and will contribute actively to the academic, pastoral, and co‑curricular life of the school. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and further develop mathematics provision within a forward‑thinking independent prep school.
You will also play an active role in wider school life, supporting sporting activities, trips, assemblies, and whole‑school projects, while modelling the school’s values of confidence, curiosity, and kindness. This is a permanent, full‑time position with a proposed start date in the new academic year in September 2026.
Person Specification- A degree in mathematics or a closely related subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching mathematics at Key Stage 2 and/or Key Stage 3 level.
- A passion for inspiring pupils and building confidence in mathematics.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Experience preparing pupils for senior school entrance exams and scholarships.
- Experience within an independent or preparatory school.
- Enthusiasm for enrichment activities, competitions, and the wider life of the school.
- Experience contributing to curriculum or subject development.
