We’re looking for a versatile, proactive Project Manager to lead GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) projects across our North American (NAMER) region.
Cognisys is a leading Cyber Security company specialising in Penetration Testing, GRC Consulting, and Managed Security services. We pride ourselves on our customer service, forward-thinking approach, and commitment to excellence. Our small but mighty team works with some of the best-known companies in the world, covering over 30 countries worldwide!
The Role
As our Project Manager for the NAMER team, you’ll be the heartbeat of our client engagements. You won’t just be managing "enterprise" tasks; you’ll be spearheading projects of all sizes, ensuring that every client - regardless of their scale - receives a world-class experience.
Reporting to the PMO Lead, you’ll own the end-to-end journey of our GRC programs. You’ll be the bridge between our technical experts and our clients, keeping timelines tight, budgets on track, and communication crystal clear. While a GRC background is great, we care more about your ability to master new domains quickly and your drive to get things done.
What You’ll Do
- End-to-End Delivery: Own the full project lifecycle for multiple concurrent GRC engagements, from the initial kickoff to the final handshake.
- Adaptive Management: Use Agile or Hybrid methodologies to keep projects moving. You know how to pivot when a startup needs speed or a larger firm needs structure.
- Client Partnerships: Act as the main point of contact for our NAMER clients. You’ll manage expectations, solve problems on the fly, and ensure we’re delivering real value.
- Master the Context: Quickly get up to speed on our core services, including Vanta deployments, ISO 27001, and SOC 2. You’ll be the guide that helps clients navigate these complex frameworks.
- Keep it on Track: Proactively spot risks, prevent scope creep, and work with the PMO to ensure every project is a commercial and technical success.
Who You Are
- Experienced: You have 3–5+ years of project management experience, ideally in a fast-paced or consulting environment.
- Agile-Minded: You’re comfortable with Scrum or Kanban and know how to apply those principles to real-world client work.
- A Quick Study: You love diving into the deep end of technical or regulatory topics and can translate complex info into actionable project plans.
- A Great Communicator: You’re as comfortable presenting to a C-suite executive as you are chatting with a developer.
- Versatile: You’re happy managing a two-week sprint for a boutique firm or a six-month roadmap for a larger organisation.
- Bonus Points: If you have a PMP, CSM, or PRINCE2, that’s great, but your track record of delivering successful projects is what matters most.
If you think you can deliver but don’t match the criteria above, please don’t be put off. We are very open-minded and focus on ability and attitude above skills.
What We Offer
- Annual Leave: 25 days per year, plus UK bank holidays.
- Additional Leave: 1 day of paid leave on your Birthday!
- Health & Wellbeing: Access to our Employee Mental Health and Wellbeing platform.
- Professional Development: £2,000 annual training budget to support your continued learning and career growth.
- A dynamic and supportive work environment where customer care and innovation drive everything we do.
- Refer a friend bonus scheme, up to £2,000!
