Cognism is looking for an SEO & AEO Manager to help improve our organic visibility across traditional search, AI search, and LLM-driven discovery. This is suited to someone with strong technical SEO foundations, a commercial mindset, and the ability to balance technical optimisation with high-quality content creation. You will play an important role in growing Cognism’s organic visibility, improving our presence in AI-generated answers, and turning search demand into measurable business impact.
That means identifying high-intent opportunities, creating and optimising the content needed to win them, improving technical SEO foundations, and ensuring our organic strategy supports pipeline and revenue. Content is a key part of this role, but this is not a content manager position. You will need to create, brief, edit, and optimise content, while also owning the SEO and AEO strategy behind it. The focus is on producing content that performs: content that ranks, answers buyer questions, strengthens Cognism’s authority, supports demand generation, and drives qualified traffic, conversions, pipeline, and revenue.
You will work closely with Web, Paid, Demand Generation, PMM, Content, RevOps, and external partners to make sure SEO and AEO are embedded into our wider digital strategy.
YOU WILL BE:
- Commercially focused: You will understand that SEO is not just about traffic. You will focus on activity that drives qualified demand, target-account engagement, meetings, pipeline, and revenue.
- Strong across content and SEO: You will be able to identify content opportunities, create briefs, write and edit copy, optimise existing pages, and ensure content is structured to perform across both search engines and AI-driven discovery.
- Technically confident: You will have a solid understanding of technical SEO, including crawlability, indexation, site structure, internal linking, metadata, Core Web Vitals, redirects, schema markup, and technical audits. You have prior experience with tools like GA4, Ahrefs, and Hubspot.
- AEO-aware: You will understand how search is changing through AI Overviews, LLMs, answer engines, and zero-click experiences. You will help Cognism improve visibility in these environments through useful, structured, authoritative, and well-optimised content.
- Analytical: Cognism’s marketing team thrives on data; you’ll be confident in delving into the SEO tech stack, tracking metrics, producing reports, gaining insights, and using them to improve your work.
- Cross-functional: You will work closely with Web, Paid, Demand Generation, PMM, Content, RevOps, and external partners to make sure SEO and AEO activity supports wider marketing goals.
- AI-enabled: You will use AI to improve speed, scale, and quality across research, auditing, briefing, content creation, optimisation and reporting. You will know where AI can accelerate work, and where human judgement is essential.
- Organised and proactive: You will be comfortable managing multiple projects, prioritising based on impact, and seeing work through from insight to execution.
- Curious: You will want to understand our customers, our market, our competitors, and how search behaviour is changing across B2B buying journeys.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own and execute SEO and AEO initiatives that improve Cognism’s organic visibility, qualified traffic, and revenue contribution.
- Identify high-impact search opportunities across priority segments, personas, markets, competitors, and product areas.
- Create, brief, edit, and optimise content that supports SEO and AEO performance, including blogs, landing pages, comparison pages, product pages, glossary pages, thought leadership, and conversion-focused web copy.
- Improve Cognism’s visibility across Google, AI Overviews, LLMs, answer engines, featured snippets, and other emerging discovery surfaces.
- Carry out technical SEO audits and work with the Web team to improve crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, page speed, redirects, schema markup, and overall site health.
- Improve on-page SEO across key pages, including metadata, headings, internal links, schema, page structure, search intent alignment, and conversion paths.
- Partner with PMM to ensure content is accurate, differentiated, aligned to Cognism’s positioning, and relevant to priority buyers.
- Partner with Demand Generation and Paid to connect organic activity with campaign themes, high-intent keywords, landing pages, competitor terms, and account-based motions.
- Use AI to scale research, content production, optimisation, reporting, and analysis, while maintaining quality, accuracy, and brand standards.
- Monitor organic performance, rankings, technical health, AI visibility, traffic quality, conversion, pipeline influence, and revenue impact.
- Use tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, HubSpot, and AI-enabled SEO platforms to identify opportunities and report on progress.
- Work with internal teams and external agencies to ensure SEO recommendations are prioritised, implemented, and measured effectively.
- Keep Cognism ahead of changes in SEO, AEO, AI search, content performance, and B2B buying behaviour.
YOUR REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in SEO, ideally in a B2B, SaaS, technology, or high-growth environment.
- Strong working knowledge of SEO content strategy, keyword research, search intent, competitor analysis, content optimisation, and on-page SEO.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create clear, useful, search-led content for B2B audiences.
- Good technical SEO knowledge, including crawling, indexing, site structure, redirects, schema, page performance, and internal linking.
- Awareness of AEO, AI search, LLM visibility, entity authority, structured content, and how search behaviour is changing.
- Comfortable using tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, HubSpot, and similar SEO platforms.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to connect SEO and content activity to commercial outcomes such as MQLs, meetings, SQOs, pipeline, and revenue.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Web, Paid, Demand Generation, PMM, Content, RevOps, and agency partners.
- Experience using AI tools to improve efficiency, scale, and insight across SEO and content workflows.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to create clear briefs, recommendations, reports, and stakeholder updates.
- Strong prioritisation skills, with the ability to focus on the work that will have the biggest impact.
- Self-motivated, curious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced business.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience working on international SEO across multiple regions or languages.
- Experience with B2B demand generation, ABM, or revenue-focused marketing.
- Experience improving visibility in AI-generated answers, featured snippets, knowledge panels, comparison queries, or category-level search results.
- Experience working with web development teams on technical SEO implementation.
- Familiarity with CRO, landing page performance, and paid search alignment.
