About the Role
A successful and growing regional property developer is seeking a commercially focused Head of Finance to join its senior leadership team in Warrington.
This is a broad and influential role combining strong financial stewardship with strategic commercial partnering. The role offers a balanced mix of financial control, reporting, forecasting, and governance alongside commercial involvement in land acquisition, development appraisals, operational performance, and business strategy. You will play a key role in challenging and supporting decision-making to drive sustainable growth and maximise returns across the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the regional finance function, ensuring robust financial controls, reporting, compliance, and governance.
- Deliver accurate management accounts, forecasting, budgeting, and long-term business planning.
- Partner with the leadership team to drive commercial performance, profitability, and operational efficiency.
- Provide financial analysis and commercial challenge to support land acquisitions, development appraisals, and investment decisions.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and forecasting to optimise business performance.
- Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing finance team, embedding best practice and continuous improvement.
- Support strategic decision-making through insightful financial and commercial analysis.
The Person
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) ideally within housebuilding, property development, construction, or a related project-led environment.
You will combine strong technical accounting and financial control expertise with commercial acumen, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to influence decision-making at senior level.
