We are delighted to be instructed to appoint a Senior / Strategic Land Manager on behalf of a major, well-funded housebuilder operating across the North West. This is a pivotal appointment within a solvent and ambitious business with a strong appetite for growth.
The successful individual will lead strategic land activities across the region, securing opportunities typically from 200 plots upwards, acquired via option, promotion, or freehold agreements, with no upper plot limit. You will play a leading role in driving the strategic land agenda, taking opportunities from initial identification through to deliverable planning outcomes.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing the strategic land function across the region
- Identifying, assessing, negotiating and securing strategic land opportunities
- Managing acquisitions through to implementable planning consent
- Building and leveraging an exceptional network of contacts including landowners, agents, local authorities, JV partners and key stakeholders
- Overseeing project pipelines and managing multiple schemes through complex planning and delivery processes
- Providing strong commercial, technical and strategic input across all land activities
We are seeking a commercially astute and technically capable land professional with proven experience within strategic land acquisition and promotion; a strong track record of sourcing and delivering strategic land opportunities, excellent negotiation, relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong project management capability with a detailed yet dynamic approach, outstanding communication, presentation and influencing skills.
Candidates may currently be working within another housebuilder, land promoter, consultancy, developer or regeneration business in a comparable strategic land role. Career progression prospects within this organisation are strong, and our client is open to considering candidates at both Manager and Senior Manager level.
