Cognisant is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a housebuilder with a strong track record of delivering high-quality residential developments. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established Commercial team and play a key role in the financial management and successful delivery of multiple housing projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage the financial performance of multiple residential developments.
  • Prepare and maintain site budgets, cost reports and bi-monthly CVRs.
  • Appoint, manage and negotiate with subcontractors to secure best value.
  • Process subcontractor valuations and payments efficiently, resolving any commercial disputes.
  • Monitor project costs and provide accurate financial reporting to senior management.
  • Set up and manage project budgets within COINS, forecasting profitability and financial performance.
  • Work closely with Construction, Sales, Customer Care and Finance teams to support project delivery.

About You:

  • HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in a construction-related discipline.
  • Previous Quantity Surveying experience within the UK residential housebuilding sector.
  • Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
