Cognisant is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a housebuilder with a strong track record of delivering high-quality residential developments. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established Commercial team and play a key role in the financial management and successful delivery of multiple housing projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage the financial performance of multiple residential developments.
- Prepare and maintain site budgets, cost reports and bi-monthly CVRs.
- Appoint, manage and negotiate with subcontractors to secure best value.
- Process subcontractor valuations and payments efficiently, resolving any commercial disputes.
- Monitor project costs and provide accurate financial reporting to senior management.
- Set up and manage project budgets within COINS, forecasting profitability and financial performance.
- Work closely with Construction, Sales, Customer Care and Finance teams to support project delivery.
About You:
- HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in a construction-related discipline.
- Previous Quantity Surveying experience within the UK residential housebuilding sector.
- Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
