Cognisant is working with a residential developer who are currently looking to recruit a qualified Planner to contribute to the promotion of strategic land and progression of planning applications. The role will involve carrying out planning assessments, supporting long-term land strategies, and achieving timely, deliverable planning approvals.
Responsibilities:
- Tracking planning performance measures and identifying risks
- Coordinating consultant teams and managing budgets
- Guiding design development through the planning process and ensuring compliance with policy, regulation, and sustainability requirements
Qualifications:
- Hold a relevant degree and have ideally one year’s chartered RTPI membership
- Demonstrate experience in Local Plan promotion, environmental assessment procedures, negotiating planning obligations/conditions, and successfully delivering planning applications
- Have strong communication skills and be confident with MS Office tools
