This is a newly created leadership role, designed to bring focus, structure, and strategic direction to an already established ML function, while also shaping a growing GenAI product capability.
You will lead a team responsible for production machine learning systems powering core customer experiences, including recommendations, personalisation, and search.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and evolve a production ML function (recommendations, search, personalisation)
- Own the Data Science roadmap and prioritisation of model investment
- Build and scale generative AI capability across product features
- Define best practices for model evaluation, quality, and responsible AI
- Partner with Engineering and MLOps on deployment and operationalisation
- Mentor and develop a team of Data Scientists
- Experience leading Data Science / ML teams in a product-led business
- Strong background in production machine learning systems
- Exposure to generative AI / LLM-based product development
- Strong technical judgement and ability to operate strategically
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product and Engineering
