About the Role
We're looking for an experienced
Shopify Engineer to join a growing engineering team building a world-class e Commerce platform.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of the frontend experience for a high-growth consumer brand, creating fast, scalable, and maintainable Shopify solutions that deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Working closely with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and Full-Stack Engineers, you'll build modular, high-performance storefronts while championing best practices in performance, accessibility, and code quality.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Shopify Development
- Develop and maintain a custom Shopify Plus theme using clean, scalable Liquid code.
- Build reusable Sections and Blocks that empower non-technical teams to create and update landing pages without engineering support.
- Maximise Shopify's native capabilities while ensuring long-term maintainability.
- Frontend Performance
- Own and improve Core Web Vitals across the storefront.
- Implement progressive enhancement techniques to create fast, responsive user experiences.
- Develop solutions using Shopify Functions and Checkout UI Extensions where appropriate.
- Integrate with custom APIs when required, collaborating closely with backend engineers.
- Balance custom development with native Shopify functionality and third-party solutions.
- Champion accessibility standards (WCAG) across all frontend development.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Build reusable, scalable components that support rapid product development.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years' commercial experience developing on
Shopify Plus .
- Strong expertise in Liquid, Shopify Admin API, and Storefront API.
- Experience using Shopify CLI, Git Hub, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of responsive design, performance optimisation, and accessibility.
