Aligned with EA Code 12, this Lead Auditor role focuses on organisations within the chemical sector. You will draw on your practical industry experience to audit clients involved in chemical manufacturing, formulation, processing, and storage β including petrochemical operations, coatings and adhesives producers, cleaning chemical manufacturers, and bulk chemical storage facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, conduct, and lead independent, third-party audits
- Gather objective evidence and prepare clear, impartial audit reports
- Host opening and closing meetings to communicate findings
- Build and maintain professional client relationships
- Continue developing your knowledge of the industry and evolving standards
- Complete auditor training and achieve your Lead Auditor qualification (supported by ISOQAR)
What you will need to be successful
You will bring hands-on experience from chemical manufacturing, processing or related high-hazard environments, with a strong understanding of how chemical operations run day-to-day. Clear communication, strong analytical skills, and precise report writing are essential, along with a professional, safety-focused, and methodical approach. You will also be comfortable with regional and national travel (including occasional overnight stays) and hold a full UK driving licence. Your integrity, technical knowledge, and ability to deliver clear, high-quality audit reports will help you thrive in this role.
