The Systems Academy offers a 12-month year in industry placement for technology students where you will gain ‘on the job’ experience, develop new skills and contribute to the growth of the company. The yearlong placement offers exposure across key elements of the Systems area of the business, providing hands-on experience across Dynamics CRM 365, Salesforce, testing, troubleshooting, UAT and test-driven development.
You’ll receive full training through our comprehensive onboarding programme and will be set up for success to really understand our products and the customers we serve. Joining the Systems team at Veriforce, you’ll primarily work within the Systems Support team responsible for configuring and customising Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Salesforce applications. There may be an opportunity to work with the Dynamics & Salesforce Development teams, depending on your technical capability, and these teams are responsible for the design, development and testing of our internal systems components.
What that means day to day:
- Attending discovery and requirements workshops and supporting the implementation of Dynamics CRM/365 & Salesforce projects
- Developing and testing Dynamics CRM 365 & Salesforce customisations, with the opportunity to configure and customise D365 applications using technologies like C#, JavaScript, Power Automate, Lightning Components & APEX
- Working with specialists across the business including Product Owners and Project Managers to implement system enhancements and upgrades
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues
- UAT, regression testing and test-driven development
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Second year computer science/software development student
- You’ll be a natural problem solver, with strong analytical skills and you’ll be familiar with Microsoft and/or Salesforce technologies and have a knowledge of databases, cloud computing and programming technologies
- You’ll have an interest in software development; if you join the Dynamics or Salesforce Development teams, you must be interested in technologies like Microsoft .NET, C#, JavaScript or APEX and must understand databases and programming concepts such as object-oriented programming
- Interest in Dynamics CRM or Salesforce technologies
- Great communication skills and the ability to influence others
- Desire to learn
