**This role is primarily remote with the expectation of 1 day a month visit to the Cardiff office**

We're hiring an SDET to help deliver reliable, high-quality SaaS solutions at Veriforce. You’ll design and execute manual, automated, and performance tests, validate APIs and integrations, and embed testing into CI/CD pipelines. Leveraging AI/ML for smarter test coverage, you’ll identify issues early, drive continuous improvement, and ensure scalability and security. Collaborating with developers, DevOps, and stakeholders, you’ll play a vital role in delivering seamless, customer-focused solutions while mentoring team members and enhancing testing practices.

What that means day to day

  • Define and develop comprehensive test plans in collaboration with scrum teams.
  • Design, document, and maintain functional, integration, security, and performance test cases.
  • Perform manual testing, log defects inJira, and collaborate with developers for resolution.
  • Build and maintain automated test scripts Playwright.
  • ValidateAPIsand data flows with tools such asPostmanandSQL queriesto ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Integrate automated tests intoCI/CD pipelines(e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) for continuous quality feedback.
  • ApplyAI/ML-driven testingfor intelligent test generation, prioritization, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics.
  • Conduct load, stress, and scalability testing to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Coordinate and facilitateUATsessions with stakeholders to validate business requirements.

What you’ll need to be successful

  • Background: Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, with 5+ years in software testing (including 2+ years in automation).
  • Automation Skills: Hands‑on experience withPlaywright or Cypressand integrating automation intoCI/CD pipelines.
  • Testing Expertise: Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and best practices, with the ability to design clear and effective test plans, cases, and scripts.
  • Innovation: Experience or keen interest in applyingAI/MLfor smarter testing, predictive analytics, or AI‑assisted coding.
  • Tools & Process: Proficiency withJira, TestRail, and working in Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Mindset: Analytical, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with a growth mindset and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
