We live in a world that runs on physical industries like energy, logistics, and manufacturing. These sectors are essential to our economy and daily lives, yet they are held back by inefficiencies, fragile legacy systems, and decades-old ways of working. This is not just a business problem; it is a societal one. When grids fail, supply chains stall, or factories falter, entire economies are disrupted. These companies face unique, complex challenges that typical software was never designed to solve. Cogna was founded to change this. Our mission is to give critical industries their own AI-powered Software Factory: a way to build and deploy bespoke digital tools that solve pressing operational challenges.
Since our launch in May 2023, we’ve seen incredible customer traction and revenue growth. We’re backed by leading VCs, including Notion Capital and Hoxton Ventures, and we’re building a world-class team to take on one of the most important challenges of our time. Tackling challenges at this scale takes people who are curious, adaptable, and motivated by impact. If our mission resonates with you, we encourage you to apply, even if your experience doesn’t match every requirement. We are committed to building a diverse team that reflects the industries and societies we serve.
We are looking for a Product Marketing Lead to shape how Cogna positions, packages, and sells AI transformation to physical industry businesses, building the narratives, frameworks, and enablement that win enterprise deals.
What you’ll do:
- Define Cogna as the AI transformation partner for physical industries. Evolve our platform messaging to position Cogna as the engine behind clients' most critical strategic initiatives for CIO, COO & Chief Transformation Officer and bring this to life on the website and other key corporate assets.
- Build vertical playbooks for asset intensive industries like Utilities, Logistics, and Manufacturing that identify flagship operational problems, articulate clear business cases, and provide sector-specific proof points.
- Develop “wedge” product plays to increase sales velocity and help Cogna break into new markets and industries.
- Act as the voice of the market back into Product. Synthesize win/loss analysis, competitive intelligence, and sales feedback into a living market thesis that shapes roadmap priorities and influences what we build.
- Create the sales arsenal—battle cards, pitch decks, product explainers, and vertical content—that enables every seller to deliver the Cogna pitch consistently. Build structured enablement that works for new and tenured reps alike.
- Develop partner strategies for Global Systems Integrators and hyperscalers. Build "1+1=3" messaging that positions Cogna as a lever for consulting practices to increase.
- Build a systematic "proof engine" that turns customer results into case studies, references, and executive-ready narratives. Tell stories of transformation where customers realize they cannot imagine operations without Cogna.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven expertise in enterprise product marketing with ability to position complex platforms to C-suite buyers. You’ve built vertical go-to-market strategies that win in operational or industrial contexts.
- Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution ability. You shape high-level positioning while building the collateral and pitch decks that sales needs tomorrow.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize market intelligence from win/loss, competitive analysis, and sales feedback into actionable insights that influence product and GTM strategy.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, particularly with Product and Sales. You build productive partnerships, influence without authority, and drive alignment across teams.
- Strong storytelling and communication abilities, with experience creating compelling narratives for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Analytical mindset with ability to structure ambiguous problems, develop frameworks, and make data-informed decisions about positioning and go-to-market strategy.
- Self-starter mentality with comfort in high-growth environments where you define the path forward, not just execute an existing playbook.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings, industry events, and partner engagements as needed.
