The Role:

As the range of projects that we work on grow, so does our team! We are currently looking to hire an Import & Export Coordinator at our coastal office in Weymouth. The role of Import & Export Coordinator is to coordinate the import and export of finished machines and spare parts, including all shipping documentation required, commercial invoices, packing lists, commodity codes, and customs declarations.

You Will:

  • Facilitate all import and export activities, record keeping, manage the associated suppliers to maintain compliance.
  • Be responsible for regulatory compliance (HMRC, export control, Incoterms, customs procedures).
  • Ensure all orders are exported and completed accurately within SAP, such as delivery note creation and invoicing.
  • Liaise closely with internal teams, providing guidance to orders which require the highest level of priority to meet customers' delivery expectations.
  • Use ASMPT’s preferred couriers to transport all products, maximizing spend leverage and maintaining control of all movements.
  • Communicate shipment information both internally and externally as required.
  • Use tools and processes defined by ASMPT to ensure shipments are processed using preferred providers via AWS (Export Tool).

About You

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team! You will have:

  • GCSE or equivalent (minimum A-C / 4 or above in English and Maths).
  • Knowledge of UK import/export processes and HMRC requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Incoterms.
  • Experience generating commercial invoices, packing lists and customs paperwork.
  • SAP experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey information confidently and appropriately to both internal and external audiences.
  • The ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
  • Experience with export control classifications. (Desirable)
  • Awareness of global customs procedures. (Desirable)
  • Familiarity with freight and courier portals (DHL, FedEx, etc.) (Desirable)
  • A qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics or International Trade (Desirable)
  • An export Control or Customs Compliance certification (Desirable)
