Executive Operations Manager
Location: Manchester or Finchley
Workplace: Hybrid, 3 days office, travel will be expected across hubs (currently Manchester & London)
Reports to: Managing Partner
Salary: £55k - £65k
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Executive Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in the expansion of a forward-thinking, full-service law firm which blends a modern, client-focused approach with traditional legal values. Working directly with the Managing Partner, the Executive Operations Manager will provide strategic and operational support across business development, governance, and leadership initiatives during a period of significant growth.
This role requires an individual with proven experience operating at senior levels in a professional services environment, who can balance complex priorities, exercise sound judgement, and demonstrate absolute discretion. Acting as a trusted partner, you will play a critical role in enabling the Managing Partner to deliver on both immediate business needs and long-term strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary support to the Managing Partner, ensuring effective preparation, communication, reporting, and governance processes.
- Proactively manage the Managing Partner’s agenda, balancing immediate demands with long-term strategic priorities.
- Support the preparation, coordination, and follow-up of board and executive meetings to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality materials and decisions.
- Liaise with senior leaders across business services functions, including Finance, HR, and Marketing, to facilitate discussion and alignment.
- Handle sensitive client, regulatory, and firm information with the highest levels of confidentiality and integrity.
About You
- Extensive experience in operations management or equivalent senior support role within a legal or professional services environment.
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness, with an understanding of the legal sector and corporate governance.
- High level of discretion, judgement, and resilience under pressure.
- Proficiency with IT systems, including Microsoft Office and document management tools.
- Previous experience in the Law sector or as a Paralegal or an education with a law degree is highly desirable.
