The Role
We are looking for a talented and highly collaborative Ecologist to join the team. You will support the delivery of a variety of exciting projects, from design through to construction, working closely with multidisciplinary teams. You’ll bring your ecological survey expertise, strong technical skills, and ability to manage subcontractors where needed to deliver high-quality assessments.

What You’ll Do
- Conduct Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Phase 1 Habitat Surveys, and fieldwork.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality ecological assessments within set deadlines.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary design teams and communicate findings effectively.
- Manage your own workload and appoint subcontractors as required.
- Write clear, concise, and professional ecological reports.
- Assist with Biodiversity Net Gain calculations and implementation.
What We’re Looking For
- A relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in Ecology or Biological Sciences.
- 2+ years of professional experience in ecological surveys and assessments.
- Experience in managing and appointing subcontractors.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of ArcGIS Pro.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Full, clean driving licence.
Desirable:
- Experience with renewable energy projects.
- A Protected Species Licence.
- Experience with Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) calculations and implementation.
