Genetics Consultant in Wales, Wrexham

Main Purpose of Role:

Being part of a dynamic UK Sales team, you will report to the Regional Sales Manager in your area. It will be your responsibility to provide a first class breeding advisory service to dairy and beef farmers on the Cogent portfolio of products and services to achieve genetic improvement in the customer's herd.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establishing and maintaining good customer relationships and providing excellent customer service at all times by understanding the customers' business needs.
• Providing farmers with the best advice and options on how they meet their individual targets on farm and making recommendations for improvement.
• Managing and building a portfolio of customers to achieve your individual targets.
• Developing and maintaining knowledge of the Cogent portfolio of products and services and sharing this knowledge with the team.
• Continually developing and improving both yourself and working practices.
• Ensuring that the Cogent policies and procedures are adhered to by yourself and the team.
• Attending agricultural events to market and promote Cogent products and services.
• Developing and maintaining knowledge of the industry and market trends and sharing this knowledge with the team.
• Continuously developing and improving both yourself, your team, and processes and procedures.
• Complying with Company policy and best practice in security, legal and regulatory compliance.
• Reviewing, planning and prioritising your daily farm visits.

Essential Skills:

• Able to consistently achieve or exceed an annual sales target.
• Knowledge of the Bovine Breeding Industry.
• Experience of working in a fast-paced and sales-focused role, achieving sales targets.
• Ability to communicate with people at all levels.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Smart and tidy appearance at all times.
• Flexible in approach to getting the job done.
• Full UK driving license.
