Cogent Staffing are recruiting on behalf of our Elland based client for a Yard Supervisor. As the Yard Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing yard operations, ensuring efficient and safe handling of materials, managing staff, and maintaining inventory accuracy. Your expertise in operating counterbalance forklifts will be crucial in facilitating smooth yard activities.
Shift / Salary
- Must be flexible to work 06:00-14:00 or 14:00-22:00 as needed Monday to Friday
- £40,000 salary
- Full time role with immediate start following successful interview
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily yard operations, including loading and unloading materials.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Manage a team of yard personnel, providing training and support as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee stock management.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods.
