Cogent Staffing are recruiting for a night shift FLT Driver to join our Halifax based manufacturing client. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity for the right person.

Shift/salary: Weekly pay, immediate start Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm £13.66 per hour.

YOU ARE REQUIRED TO PASS A DRUG & ALCOHOL TEST PRIOR TO BEING CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE.

The role:

  • Operate forklift or other hand truck.
  • Unloading and loading heavy palletised goods.
  • Adherence to Company or statutory requirements on Health & Safety and housekeeping.
  • Identify and report any safety hazards in the workplace.
  • Follow quality and customer service standards.
  • Consolidate existing raw materials in advance of incoming goods maintaining a first in first out process.
  • Recording and replenishment of materials required from result of count.
  • Perform cycle counts and stocktakes as required.
  • Any other tasks that are deemed reasonable and within the capacity and context of the role.
  • Employee will cover alternative duties as and where required to suit the needs of the business.

The candidate:

  • Experience in a Manufacturing/Logistics environment.
  • Current Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck Certificate with 2+ years’ experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience operating powered forklift trucks.
  • Knowledge of various material-handling equipment an asset.
  • Proficient in mathematics and English.
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
  • Possess a high regard for safety in the workplace.
  • Must have a positive ‘Can Do’ attitude.
