Cogent Staffing is recruiting on behalf of our Leeds-based client for an experienced Service Team Coordinator / Scheduler. Our client supplies new metalworking machinery and maintains a stock of used machines, typically acquired through part-exchange when new machines are supplied. You will support the client’s service team by booking engineers onto customer service jobs and coordinating logistics across a mix of Leeds-based and UK-wide work. This role is critical to ensuring our (highly experienced) engineers are scheduled efficiently and dispatched correctly for servicing extremely complex sheet metal working machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Book and coordinate service jobs for approximately 12 engineers
  • Coverage split: ~50% Leeds-based and ~50% UK-wide
  • Schedule engineers for service work and ensure jobs are allocated appropriately
  • Coordinate travel and logistics using a strong understanding of the UK road network
  • Liaise with engineers and internal stakeholders to ensure the right engineer is assigned to the right job, and that service jobs are scheduled and managed smoothly
  • Maintain an organised booking workflow and keep accurate records of job allocations and engineer availability
