Our client is a local manufacturing business looking to recruit a Despatch Operative to join them on a temporary to permanent basis.
Shift/salary:
- Monday to Friday 10:00-19:00
- £13.30 rising to £13.71
- Further progression opportunities to increase salary to £14.40
- Weekly pay each Friday
- Temporary to permanent opportunity
- Onsite parking
Duties:
- Moving company vans at the end of the day.
- Locating doors according to vehicle load plans.
- Carefully putting doors on pallets, wrapping, and scanning them.
- Assisting with the loading of HGVs in the warehouse.
- Attention to detail to ensure the correct doors are being palleted.
- Care when manually handling doors and glass to place them on pallets.
- Adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Safe loading of vehicles.
The candidate:
- Hold a valid FLT Counterbalance license taken or refreshed in the last 3 years.
- Working within a despatch role setting using FLT.
- Confident of using in-house stock and PC systems.
- Full UK driving licence.
- A strong work ethic.
- Ability to operate as part of a team.
