Pfizer is looking for a Data & Analytics Specialist apprentice to support the Global Commercial Analytics (GCA) team. As an internal consultant and brand strategist, you will partner with commercial leaders to collect, analyse and interpret data to deliver actionable insights that drive our commercial strategy.
Responsibilities
- Support and execute analytics reporting, including secondary data analysis, advanced analytics/data science, and modelling.
- Execute customer analytics, segmentation, targeting and promotional resource allocation, field force sizing, omnichannel analysis, etc.
- Collaborate on the delivery of advanced analytics projects containing predictive modelling, data science and machine learning.
- Identify and pursue new capabilities and data sources to enhance Pfizer's competitive advantage.
- Monitor portfolio performance and deliver performance measurement solutions.
- Provide external marketplace insight to drive commercial decisions.
- Support data modelling and forecasting needs, including LRF and operating plans.
- Execute primary market research, elevate PMR data, and ensure compliance with SOPs.
- Contribute to GCA capability advancement, enable scaling across UK and IDM, share best practices and manage knowledge.
- Educate commercial counterparts to use analytical tools and adopt recommendations.
Qualifications
- Grade 5 in GCSE Mathematics or equivalent.
- Grade 4 in GCSE English Language or equivalent (prior to admission).
- Bachelor's degree required; preferred in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, math, engineering).
- Proficiency in Python and Excel.
- Experience with machine learning models, Python/R and visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik or Power BI.
- Strong knowledge of statistics, linear algebra, MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SQL, Dataiku/DSS, Tableau or similar analytics platforms.
- Knowledge of the UK pharmaceutical industry and relevant data sources.
- Understanding of AI/ML and data science approaches.
- Strong business acumen, preferably in pharma or healthcare.
- Demonstrated project management and vendor management skills.
- Fluency in English (written & spoken).
- Enthusiastic, proactive, adaptable and collaborative attitude.
