Are you a high-level electrical strategist ready to lead in the UK’s green energy landscape? Cogent Energy is seeking a Head Electrician to lead our electrical division. We are building the backbone of the UK’s sustainable future. This is a senior-tier leadership role for a professional who commands excellence in high-voltage infrastructure and large-scale EV deployment and management.

The Role

  • Spearhead all electrical aspects of large-scale AC & DC infrastructure projects.
  • Oversee GRP cabinet builds, cable containment strategy, and complex distribution board configurations.
  • Interpret and refine CAD drawings and site plans with surgical precision.
  • Lead, audit, and inspire a national team of electricians, subcontractors, and apprentices.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Tier-1 clients to ensure seamless delivery of multi-site rollouts.

What You Bring to the Table

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation & 18th Edition (latest amendments).
  • City & Guilds 2391 (Testing & Inspection).
  • Proven track record managing large-scale commercial sites or multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Deep understanding of CAD, three-phase systems, and GRP configurations.
  • City & Guilds 2919 (EVSE) and extensive experience in DC fast-charging hubs.
  • Ability to drive efficiency and hit KPIs to trigger the £100k+ OTE bonus structure.
