Main Purpose of Role
Being part of a dynamic UK Sales team, you will report to the Area Sales Manager in your area. It will be your responsibility to provide a first class breeding advisory service to dairy and beef farmers on the Cogent portfolio of products and services to achieve genetic improvement in the customer's herd.
Key Responsibilities
- Establishing and maintaining good customer relationships and providing excellent customer service at all times by understanding the customers' business needs.
- Providing farmers with the best advice and options on how they meet their individual targets on farm and making recommendations for improvement.
- Managing and building a portfolio of customers to achieve your individual targets.
- Developing and maintaining knowledge of the Cogent portfolio of products & services and sharing this knowledge with the team.
- Continually developing and improving both yourself and working practices.
- Ensuring that the Cogent policies and procedures are adhered to by yourself and the team.
- Attending agricultural events to market and promote Cogent products & services.
- Developing and maintaining knowledge of the industry and market trends and sharing this knowledge with the team.
- Continuously developing and improving both yourself, your team, and processes and procedures.
- Complying with Company policy and best practice in security, legal and regulatory compliance.
- Reviewing, planning, and prioritising your daily farm visits.
Essential Skills
- Able to consistently achieve or exceed an annual sales target.
- Knowledge of the Bovine Breeding Industry.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced and sales-focused role, achieving sales targets.
- Ability to communicate with people at all levels.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Smart and tidy appearance at all times.
- Flexible in approach to getting the job done.
- Full UK driving license.
