Main Purpose of Role

Play a vital role in delivering the Cogent product range to our customers across Shropshire and the Midlands, ensuring every order arrives on time while representing a company that prides itself on quality, reliability, and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • To ensure that the deliveries are made safely, efficiently and on time
  • To proactively deal with any customer concerns at the point of delivery
  • To ensure that all delivery paperwork is completed and left with the Customer
  • To effectively manage your time to ensure that your route is cost and time efficient whilst also considering customer requirements
  • To manage your vehicle to ensure that it is clean, tidy and safe to drive
  • Driving safely and with due care and attention at all times, complying with all road traffic regulations
  • Maintaining knowledge of the company\'s product to enable basic customer advice when required
  • To be a \'champion\' of the Company brand
  • To build established customer relationships

• You also have the following responsibilities

  • To continuously develop and improve both yourself and the business
  • To comply with Company policy and best practice in security, legal and regulatory compliance
  • To ensure that all H&S responsibilities are fulfilled and that the team\'s (including the role holder), visitors and contractors safety and welfare is maintained
  • To complete any other duties as required from time to time.

Essential Skills

  • Full Driving License
  • Knowledge of geographical area covered by the role
  • Previous experience with driving and delivery role
  • Customer service experience helpful
  • Delivering customer orders on time
  • Ensuring that the deliveries are prioritised giving consideration to location, time and customer requirements
  • Dealing with customer queries by directing to the relevant person
  • Having a clean and tidy appearance and van
