Main Purpose of Role: To be responsible for all aspects of bull health and welfare, bull handling and semen collection from our world class genetic merit beef and dairy sires.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete the day-to-day tasks of bull handling, assisting with semen collection and daily care of livestock towards the team meeting its business requirements.
- All day to day factors relating to the maintenance of health, welfare and breeding soundness and to ensure a clean and healthy environment for CBL sires.
- Complete all daily/weekly tasks to ensure the CBL Livestock Locations equipment, machinery, tools and infrastructure is fit for purpose and safe to use.
- To ensure all necessary procedural, regulatory and health and safety processes are adhered to at all times.
- Must be free from other livestock contacts and biosecurity conscious.
- To continuously develop and improve themselves and the way they work.
- To comply with Company policy and best practice in security, legal and regulatory compliance.
- To complete any other duties as required from time to time.
Essential Skills:
- Prior experience of livestock handling or showing although full training will be given.
- Willing to work as part of a team but capable of taking individual responsibility.
- A clean driving licence.
- Bobcat / Tractor license and experience, however training will also be provided.
