The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our Leisure Team as a NPLQ Qualified Lifeguard.
You will help ensure the safety of guests around the pool and contribute to the day‑to‑day operations of Cofton’s busy leisure facility.
Your responsibilities include
- Ensuring the poolside areas are supervised and checked frequently for hazards, maintaining Cofton's high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safety.
- Carrying out cleaning duties and pool plant checks at specified intervals, logging all checks.
- Communicating to guests where behaviour corrections are required to comply with poolside rules.
- Performing lifeguard rescues of persons in difficulty in the water.
- Administering first aid treatment in accordance with training.
- Recording any poolside accidents or injuries in the accident book without delay.
- Reporting any maintenance problems promptly.
- Assisting with taking payments from guests and members when necessary.
- Dealing with enquiries from guests and members promptly and politely.
- Undertaking any necessary training as required by management.
- Following company procedures, guidance and training as appropriate.
- Reporting any Health & Safety matters immediately to the Leisure Supervisor/Assistant/Leisure Manager and taking remedial action within your training, ensuring company compliance.
- Who We’re Looking For
- A valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).
- Experience working in a leisure facility.
- Experience in a customer‑facing role.
