The Role

- Be responsible for security, keys and codes, following the company keys and codes policy
- Be an ambassador of the Cofton Holidays brand, ensuring the business is always presented at its best

- Seek authorisation to recruit staff using the Manager's HR Handbook processes
- Recruit staff with Cofton’s core values and the Cofton Recruitment process
- Manage staff rosters, holiday, attendance and ensure remuneration recorded correctly
- Review staff performance regularly, fairly and give clear directions and achievable goals
- Assist the Health and Safety Officer to monitor the department and ensure compliance with the latest H&S regulations
- Update company procedures and risk assessments as required
- Ensure risk assessment and hazard analysis is carried out within your department and liaise with other departments to communicate areas for improvement, action and implementation, developing a culture of preventative action
- Ensure all latest Health & Safety regulations are followed and aligned with company policies and risk assessments
- Adhere to the Fire Risk Assessment, ensure staff trained and understand evacuation procedures and participate in drills
- Liaise and ensure a senior team member is present for stock takes, taking responsibility for stock takes and wastage control
- Plan, review, analyse and implement inspection programmes regarding legislative or regulatory compliance to reduce risk to the business and demonstrate compliance
- Record incidents, accidents and near misses on Prime, investigate and follow up all incidents immediately and ensure all actions are completed
- Ensure relevant policies written in the Employee Handbook and Employee Safety Handbook are adhered to by you and staff
- Support the Food & Beverage Manager on a day‑to‑day basis
- Provide cover in the absence of the Front of House Manager
- Understand and comply with licensing regulations for the venues to serve alcoholic beverages
- Ensure the Weights and Measures Act and Trade Descriptions Act are always adhered to
- Ensure impeccable service standards for all meals and drinks
- Ensure smooth operation across our different venues from day into evening, eating in to take out
- Proactively identify growth and operational efficiency opportunities
- Deliver against department KPIs
- Ensure staff wear the correct uniform and name badges
Who We’re Looking For
- Experience of working in a similar role with previous responsibilities in a F&B setting
- Flexibility with ability to work weekends and evenings
- Computer literate with good all‑round knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
- Able to multi‑task, remaining calm and professional even in a pressured customer service environment
