About The Role
We’re looking for an organised, enthusiastic Activities Coordinator (Outdoor Pursuits) to help deliver our exciting activities programme. You’ll coordinate daily sessions, manage bookings and systems, and ensure all activities are safe, engaging and well-presented. You’ll work closely with the wider Leisure and guest-facing teams to provide a fun, seamless experience for every visitor. Our activities programme is entering an exciting phase of growth, led by a dedicated Activities Coordinator to drive quality and consistency.
Activities Are Clearly Structured Into Three Branded Offers
- Cofton Active – wellbeing, walking, light fitness and social activities for midweek, retired and lifestyle guests.
- Cofton Quest – adventure, challenges and outdoor pursuits such as High ropes, Archery, Sports Activities for families and teenagers, driving peak-time participation.
- Digby’s Adventures – fun, character-led activities for under 8s, building early loyalty and memorable experiences such as pond dipping at our lakes or Forest School.
Alongside this, Brilliant Trails will encourage self-led exploration and storytelling across Cofton’s landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate day-to-day activity operations and ensure sessions run smoothly.
- Coordinate other team members to deliver a full and varied programme.
- Support the development of new activity programmes and lesson plans.
- Promote and deliver age-appropriate, engaging activities across all brands.
- Manage activity bookings using online systems and encourage advance participation.
- Handle guest enquiries, waiting lists, cancellations and feedback.
- Work with schools, groups and partners to support educational and off-peak programmes.
- Promote activities, merchandise and upsell opportunities to boost engagement.
- Ensure activity areas are safe, clean and well-presented.
About You
- Experience in outdoor pursuits, coordinating activities, events or programmes.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Friendly, confident communicator with a positive approach.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- IT confident, ideally with booking or scheduling systems.
- Enthusiastic, proactive and guest-focused.
- Flexible with working hours, including weekends and school holidays.
