The Role
As a Team Member for Laundry, you will ensure laundry is delivered to / collected from site accommodation and will work within the in-house Laundry ensuring all laundry and associated tasks are carried out to the correct specification. Although this position is not always customer-facing you are still expected to always carry out your duties in a professional manner.
The main goals are to assist the Accommodation & Cleaning Manager/Supervisor and your team colleagues by performing your role to the best of your ability while conforming to company policy, procedures, and goals. You will follow Health & Safety and COSHH procedures within the workplace, always keeping yourself, co-workers, and guests safe.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare linen packs as required for each changeover.
- To ensure fresh clean laundry is delivered and dirty laundry is collected from various site accommodations using the designated company vehicle.
- To assist with sorting dirty linen into designated sections.
- Ensure the quality of laundry cleaning meets Cofton’s high standards.
- Ensure linen & towels are processed appropriately through washing machines, dryers, and linen press.
- Stock control of chemicals required in the laundry.
- Monthly count of linen in stock.
- Track and assign to waste any damaged linen/towel stock.
- Following the correct procedures set by the department to ensure competent efficiency.
- To follow company procedures, guidance, and training as appropriate.
- Report any Health & Safety matters immediately to the Accommodation & Cleaning Manager/Supervisor and take any remedial action within the realms of your training, ensuring the Company remains compliant.
- Any other ad hoc duties requested by management.
