Responsibilities:
- Comply with licensing regulations and ensure all legal requirements for serving alcoholic beverages are followed.
- Adhere to the Weights and Measures Act and Trade Descriptions Act.
- Participate in any necessary training as required by management.
- Prepare tables, seating and serve hot/cold beverages in a timely manner.
- Support floor and waiting staff, greet customers on arrival and assist with seating.
- Display and update specials boards and opening times.
- Handle till transactions accurately and report any errors to the Front of House Manager/Assistant Manager/Complex Supervisor.
- Check incoming deliveries, note shortages or discrepancies, and assist with stock rotation using the FIFO method.
- Assist in training new staff and allow them to shadow you.
- Record wastage accurately.
- Perform daily cleaning duties.
- Follow standard operating procedures and opening/closing procedures.
