This is a unique opportunity to act as the "face" of Coftec in the UK. As our Senior Project Engineer, you will be the linchpin connecting our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Ireland with our live project sites in the UK. We are looking for a strategic, hands-on leader who can take ownership of the on-site execution, drive commercial growth alongside our Business Development team, and uphold our reputation for engineering excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Leadership: Take full ownership as the primary site contact for the UK, seamlessly managing the installation, testing, commissioning, and client handover of our modular products.
- Bridge the Gap: Serve as the critical feedback loop to our Project Managers and design teams, ensuring off-site builds are perfectly optimized for on-site reality.
- Commercial Impact: Work alongside the UK Business Development Manager to evaluate new sites, provide technical credibility during client meetings, and contribute expert insights to competitive tender submissions.
- Safety & Quality Custodian: Champion Coftec’s uncompromising HSQE standards on all UK sites, ensuring a safe working environment and flawless product delivery.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and nurture trust-based relationships with UK clients, local authorities, and sub-contractors, ensuring an exceptional client experience from delivery to handover.
- Mentorship & Reporting: Provide clear, strategic updates to senior leadership and help foster a culture of excellence and accountability on site.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of robust experience in project engineering, site management, or commissioning, specifically within the UK water, wastewater, or civil infrastructure sectors.
- A proven track record of leading site installations and successfully bringing projects through to final commissioning and handover.
- Good understanding of UK site safety (HSQE) and Quality Assurance (QA) protocols.
- Commercial acumen, with previous experience supporting tendering, bidding, or business development activities are beneficial.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills— liaising between design teams and production staff.
- Full clean driving licence and the flexibility to travel to project sites across the UK as required.
- Authorised to work in the UK.
