Coform is the community, research, and tooling that powers Solutions & Delivery, built by the people who do the work. We started as an informal London meetup in January 2024. Two years later, our community is 1,000+ practitioners across four cities, original research that's becoming the industry reference point, and Focal, our AI platform for Solutions teams, is being rolled out to more teams, including Remote, Mollie, GoCardless, and Recharge. We believe we have a unique approach to solving the problems our ecosystem faces - a trusted community at its core, from which vendor-agnostic research is created and the best tools to magnify our impact are built.
We've built our Community to 1,000+ members across four cities with a small central team and amazing volunteer community leads. We’ve learned what works and what doesn’t for bringing together the best Solutioners in spaces they trust. Now we want to expand that across the US and become the trusted brand in Solutions, bringing our model to more cities, deepening our experience for members and creating more research for the ecosystem. We’re looking for a current or ex-SE who wants to scale their impact on the SE profession globally. You’ll own our community operations end to end and use our growing scale to create content & research that the Solutions profession relies on.
What This Role Looks Like
There's no perfect analogy for this role, but it sits at the intersection of a few recognisable ones:
- The community-building instinct of a DevRel lead/Developer Advocate/Designer Advocate - you deeply understand Solutioners, what they’re looking for and how to support them.
- The systems-building instinct of a first ops hire - you see what's held together by effort and goodwill, and you turn it into something that runs without you.
You’ll work directly with the founders shaping Coform as we build the global infrastructure for the Solutions role.
Three Pillars of the Role
- Grow the Community - Take over day-to-day coordination of our community leads across our leads and ensure meetups run successfully across all cities. Drive our expansion to 3-4 US cities, working with our US-based advisors to launch and establish each one. Travel to events - expect 6-8 US trips in your first year. Paid‑for trips to cities like Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, New York, DC, making connections with leading Solutions leaders & ICs. Launch new initiatives that benefit our members.
- Scale our Insights to Every Solutioner - Take what happens at events, in research, and across the community and turn it into content that SE leaders across the industry genuinely find useful - post‑event field notes, original research, newsletter pieces. Run first‑party research projects (like our compensation structure report) that open‑source data and standards our members can use. Encourage and systematise UGC from members and community leads.
- Build Systems That Scale - A key determinant of how we can scale our quality‑led events model to 10 cities is automating and systematising operations. Build and deploy automations and agents across event ops, content production, and member communications.
What You’ll Need
Must-Haves
- First-hand SE/SC or technical sales experience. You have real empathy for the problems our community members face because you've lived them.
- Track record of following through. We move fast and do a lot. You follow through on what you say you'll do.
- A systems‑building mindset. When you see a process that doesn't scale, you improve it.
- Open to regular US travel. A core part of the role will be visiting members across our cities, including in the US.
- Comfortable with early‑stage reality. Joining an early‑stage startup, you’ll wear lots of hats and some stretches are more intense than others.
Bonus
- Based in London or open to relocate to London.
- You enjoy writing and creating content.
- You've been involved in community, events, or DevRel.
What You’ll Receive
- Competitive base salary - £70-95k
- Meaningful equity in Coform (recently-funded by leading investors)
- Regular travel to US and European cities
- Weekly in‑person lunch as a full‑team.
- Further employee benefits
- The chance to shape how an entire profession develops - not from the sidelines, but from the centre of it.
