About the Role
A Test Manager is required for the Regulatory Services Programme (RSP), which will replace legacy regulatory systems for the Environment Agency. The Test Manager works in partnership with an external supplier to build new technical platforms for users. The Test Manager will inform how testing should be performed for a project workstream. The Programme team oversees and is responsible for the whole programme, comprising around 50 external supplier staff and 50 internal staff. The Test Manager works within the overarching programme management team. The role performed by the Test Manager is to define the Test Approach for a project within the programme and ensure that the project team delivers testing in accordance with the agreed plan and strategy. The Test Manager manages UAT testing at the project level and conducts Quality Assurance of the Hitachi deliverables to ensure quality delivery. The Test Manager is critical to ensuring the successful high-quality products that RSP aims to deliver and ensures that the range of projects have resources in situ to deliver the test plan. The Test Manager will continue to refine the testing plan and help the products to be deployed to high standards. The Test Manager will also keep the programme informed of the testing requirements.
Responsibilities
- For each project workstream (covering both Data Migration and Application testing):
- UAT Test Plans
- UAT Resource plans and Test Execution schedules
- UAT Test Completion Reports
- Raise and manage risks/issues within the RSP programme
- UAT test progress reporting
