Software Engineer in Telford

We are looking for an experienced Documentum Developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and implementing solutions on the Documentum platform. The ideal candidate should have strong hands‑on experience with Documentum components, content management workflows, and integration with enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement solutions using Documentum Content Server, D2, Webtop, xCP, xPlore, Captiva, and DFS.
• Customize Documentum objects, workflows, lifecycles, ACLs, and metadata models.
• Implement Documentum REST and SOAP‑based services for system integration.
• Develop Documentum applications using Java/J2EE and related frameworks.
• Configure repositories, manage migrations, and upgrade Documentum components.
• Troubleshoot Documentum performance issues, indexing, and content retrieval.
• Work with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Manage content ingestion, transformation, and archival processes.
• Ensure solution compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with QA, infrastructure, and deployment teams for smooth release cycles.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands‑on experience with:
• Documentum D2 / Webtop / xCP / xPlore / Content Server
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE, XML, XSLT, SQL, REST/SOAP services.
• Experience with repository architecture, object types, workflows, ACLs, and configurations.
• Hands‑on experience in Documentum upgrades, patching, and content migrations.
• Strong understanding of system architecture and integration patterns.
• Good exposure to Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience working in Agile teams.

Good to Have

• Experience with cloud migration (AWS/Azure/GCP) for Documentum environments.
• Knowledge of OpenText Intelligent Capture or Captiva.
• Experience in Docker/Kubernetes (if Documentum containers are used).
