Role: Lead QA Analyst

Understand what needs to be tested, why it matters, and how to validate it effectively. Turn ideas, requirements, and discussions into clear test scenarios, risk assessments, and quality plans. Review test coverage, consistency, and clarity, ensuring that the product behaves the way our customers expect.

Responsibilities:

  • Break down requirements, workflows, and technical designs into well-defined test conditions.
  • Identify gaps, edge cases, and risks early—before development begins.
  • Ensure test coverage maps accurately reflect the behaviour of the product and any dependencies.
  • Provide direction on test design, documentation standards, and prioritisation.
  • Review the team’s test scenarios for clarity, relevance, and completeness.
  • Act as the point of contact for questions about functional behaviour or user journeys.
  • Facilitate discussions between QA, Product, UX, and Engineering to ensure shared understanding.
  • Help teams reach agreement on acceptance criteria and user impacts.
  • Ensure quality feedback reaches the right people at the right time.
  • Confirm that all requirements, user stories, and change requests are testable and sufficiently detailed.
  • Maintain traceability between requirements, risks, and test coverage.
  • Ensure the team’s test artefacts are always current and aligned with evolving product behaviour.
  • Track testing progress, highlight blockers, and help remove constraints slowing down the team.
  • Analyse test results at a feature or release level to identify patterns or recurring issues.
  • Provide meaningful release-quality summaries that support clear go/no-go decisions.
  • Suggest improvements to analysis techniques, documentation approaches, and review routines.
  • Introduce simple, scalable practices that help teams work more predictably and efficiently.
  • Keep the QA team aligned on standards for test design, naming, coverage, and verification steps.

Qualification & Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Majors: Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field preferred)
  • 8+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience
  • Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Software Quality Assurance life cycle (STLC)
  • Hands-on experience with defect tracking and test management systems, such as Jira, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, or comparable platforms.
  • Expertise in Requirements and Planning tools like Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps etc.
  • Expertise in Test Design, Test Management and Defect Management tools TestRail, Zephyr, and Azure Test Plans etc.
  • Knowledge of Accessibility Testing tools like Axe, WAVE, ARC Toolkit, SiteImprove, JAWS, Dragon, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack etc.
  • Experience using database tools and platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, TOAD, or equivalent technologies to validate data integrity, perform backend testing, and support comprehensive test coverage.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium or similar technologies, is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of and experience applying Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) best practices within both Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
