Role Purpose

As an EUX (EUC) Technical Lead you will work within a large enterprise environment and be responsible for managing, securing and improving the Aviation Loyalty End User Experience. Using a suite of Microsoft cloud tools (primarily Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure and Intune) you will have a strong focus on designing, building, securing and maintaining technology services to high operational standards, with an eye for detail and an end user experience mindset.

This role will work across various levels of the business including:

  • Working closely with Aviation Loyalty’s Technology Leadership team, acting as a hands‑on technology authority, influencing strategy, architecture, roadmaps, and execution.
  • Working as a trusted business partner, proactively identifying solutions that enable productivity gains and deliver to business outcomes.
  • Working with vendors and our EUX support team (both onshore and offshore) to solve complicated technical problems and implement efficient new processes.

This role is critical in modernising workplace technology, improving security posture, and transitioning the organisation toward a best practice Microsoft‑led modern workplace and device management solution.

Key Responsibilities

EUX Technical Strategy & Roadmap

  • Help define and evolve the technical elements of Aviation Loyalty’s EUX strategy and roadmap.
  • Apply critical thinking to challenge, advise and assist in technical decision making, then execute on it.
  • Apply enterprise EUX best practices to drive technology transformation, efficient processes and easy to manage solutions.
  • Lead Microsoft 365 EUX solution design and adoption, with strong focus on AI Enablement within Microsoft 365.
  • Stay up to date on Microsoft’s evolving technology roadmap, including new and emerging services, determining how they can benefit Aviation Loyalty.
  • Translate Microsoft capabilities into practical, enterprise‑ready EUX solutions that are fit for purpose, particularly across Microsoft 365, Azure and Entra ID.

Modern Device Management

  • Drive the transition from legacy device management (SCCM) to modern Intune device management across all device types.
  • Define future state hardware asset and software asset strategy, standards, and governance.
  • Align endpoint management policies and configuration with EUX, security, and productivity goals.

Tenant Security & Governance

  • Provide deep expertise in EUX‑related security and governance capabilities, including:
  • Microsoft 365 security, including Microsoft Defender and Purview.
  • M365 and Azure tenant design, best practices and governance, including cross tenant collaboration (including MTO).
  • Identity Governance and Access Management.
  • Ensure all EUX improvements and solutions are secure by design and governed appropriately.
  • Required Experience & Skills

    Experience

    • Minimum 10 years of enterprise EUX/Modern Workplace experience.
    • Proven experience leading EUX change, not just supporting it, particularly within environments undergoing major modern workplace transformation.

    Technical Expertise

    • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, with emphasis on:
    • M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio and Azure based AI capabilities.
    • EUX productivity tooling, including core M365 services and Power Platform.
    • Azure and Entra ID for infrastructure, application and identity management.
    • Hands‑on experience with Intune and modern endpoint management, including Autopilot, WHfB, MDM/MAM policies, Apple DEP, Google Play, Samsung Knox, and AVD/W365 technologies.
    • Deep knowledge of End User Computing (EUC) & EUC focused security controls.
    • Excellent capability in scripting, particularly with PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API.
    • Robust understanding of Microsoft’s enterprise technology direction and roadmap.

    Leadership & Personal Attributes

    • Senior and confident professional who can challenge stakeholders constructively.
    • Exceptional communication skills, both written & verbal.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, demonstrating rational and reasoned thought processes.
    • Comfortable making decisions and setting technical direction.
    • Able to operate as a trusted advisor within all levels of the business.
    • Not a “task‑taker”, this person is expected to lead, influence, and shape outcomes, as well as mentor support team members.
