We at Coforge are seeking a Data Delivery & Technical Engagement Lead with the following skill-set:
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Delivery & Technical Engagement Lead / Technical Delivery Manager to support a long-term cloud data modernisation programme focused on migrating from legacy analytics systems to a modern AWS-based data platform. This individual will act as the primary onshore representative and technical delivery manager for Coforge, ensuring alignment between onsite client stakeholders and offshore delivery pods. The role requires a hands-on onsite presence to drive transparency, context sharing, technical oversight, and effective onshore–offshore coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Onsite Leadership & Client Engagement
- Maintain a strong onsite presence (3+ days per week) as the key bridge between client and offshore engineering teams.
- Serve as the Coforge Technical Delivery Manager for all programme workstreams.
- Attend and actively contribute to stand-ups, sprint ceremonies, review sessions, and technical workshops.
- Provide rapid clarification and context to both client and offshore teams to accelerate decision-making.
- Client Relationship Management
- Operate as the single point of contact (PoC) for all offshore-delivered work.
- Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with the client’s Data Office, architects, product owners, and business stakeholders.
- Ensure smooth, transparent communication across all delivery channels.
- Delivery Leadership & Execution Ownership
- Own end-to-end delivery commitments, ensuring timely, high-quality outputs.
- Lead coordination across multiple offshore pods aligned to client priorities.
- Track progress, manage risks, and address dependencies proactively.
- Support ramp-up, onboarding, and scaling of new workstreams and capabilities.
- Technical Architecture Governance & Quality Assurance
- Provide technical oversight and architectural review of data engineering and cloud solution designs.
- Collaborate with offshore Technical Architects to ensure robust, scalable, and compliant implementations.
- Validate designs against AWS best practices—scalability, security, performance, and cost governance.
- Review data models, pipelines, automation scripts, orchestration flows, and documentation.
- Onshore–Offshore Synchronisation
- Translate client-side priorities and architectural decisions into actionable tasks for offshore Pods.
- Maintain alignment across distributed teams through structured communication and standardised methods of working.
- Drive consistency in design, coding standards, and technical quality across all pods.
- Governance, Compliance & Engineering Standards
- Ensure adherence to client governance, cloud security policies, and engineering protocols.
- Promote delivery excellence through automation, documentation, reusability, and engineering discipline.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to uplift practices and delivery maturity.
Required Technical Skills & Expertise
- AWS Data & Analytics (Hands-On Expertise)
- AWS Glue (ETL/ELT development, PySpark, Glue Catalog)
- Apache Spark
- AWS Redshift (modelling, optimisation)
- AWS Lambda

- AWS Step Functions
- Experience with Open Table Formats: Delta Lake, Apache Hudi
- Strong knowledge of S3-based data lakes and modern cloud-native data architectures
- Data Engineering & Architecture Skills
- Dimensional Modelling (Star/Snowflake)
- ETL/ELT pipeline design & orchestration
- Data Lakehouse methodologies
- Master Data Management (MDM) concepts
- CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows
Domain Expertise – Lloyd’s & London Market (Highly Preferred)
- Understanding of the Lloyd’s Syndicate operating model
- Exposure to Specialty Insurance workflows
- Knowledge of Lloyd’s reporting standards and regulatory frameworks
- Familiarity with underwriting, claims, actuarial, and finance data flows in the Lloyd’s ecosystem
Experience & Leadership Attributes
- 10+ years in data engineering, data architecture, or cloud data delivery roles
- Proven leadership in multi-pod offshore delivery models for cloud/data transformation programmes
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership presence
- High accountability, proactive problem-solving, and outcome-driven mindset
