- Functional solution design and requirements specification
- Translating business requirements into detailed functional designs
- Writing functional specifications, high-level design documents
- Producing functional documentation, including process flows, system interactions, interface specifications, data models, and functional solution design
- Design end-to-end functional solutions that meet business and technical requirements
- Analyse existing systems, identify functional gaps, and propose solution improvements
- Define system behaviour, business rules, workflows, and integration requirements
- Collaborate with developers, architects, testers, and Product Owners to refine and deliver the functional solution
- Own the functional design throughout the development life cycle, ensuring the implemented solution aligns with the agreed design
- Support consultancy and solutioning activities
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validating that delivered functionality meets the defined functional design
- Analyse internal & customer defects against expected system behaviour, relying on internal documentation, technical logs
- API-based architectures, systems integration, and distributed applications
- Complex system landscapes and Legacy environments
