Our wonderful Coffi Lab Baristas are central to the creation of the exceptional customer experience that we strive for. Providing prompt service and great tasting coffee in a warm, friendly and engaging manner. If you are looking to join a company with heart, with the added bonus of daily visits from our friendly, four‑legged customers, this could be the opportunity for you.
We are looking for someone to join our Thornbury team working approximately 16 hrs per week (this can be over 2 or 4 days in line with the needs of the business). We are open 7 days per week and so we look for as much flexibility as possible. Rotas are prepared at least a week in advance. Our Team Members each work their share of open and close shifts. The open shifts start as early as 6:30 am and the close shift finishes around 6:30 pm. All of our Baristas are paid £12.75 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Delight every customer with our magnificent Coffi Lab customer service.
- Craft consistently beautiful coffee with basic latte art (following recipe and presentation standards and understanding all milks served).
- Help your team keep the store spotless – ensuring it is a nice place to both work in and visit.
- Multi‑task and follow processes to maintain both speed of service and quality of product in busy stores.
- Be dependable, a team player to help everything run like clockwork.
- Communicate clearly and efficiently to get your message across.
- Be organized, managing multiple tasks to ensure customer experience is consistent from the first to the last.
- Stay steady – handle the change of pace in very busy shops, both up and down.
- Be friendly – an approachable, kind colleague who is welcoming and attentive to customers.
Qualifications
- Experience within a high‑volume retail, hospitality or restaurant environment is desirable but not essential.
- Previous coffee experience is also desirable; however full training and support will be provided.
