Our wonderful Coffi Lab Baristas are central to the creation of the exceptional customer experience that we strive for. Providing prompt service and great tasting coffee in a warm, friendly and engaging manner.

We are looking for someone to join our Thornbury team working approximately 16hrs per week (this could be over 2 or 4 days in line with the needs of the business). We are open 7 days per week and look for as much flexibility as possible. Rotas are prepared at least a week in advance. Our Team Members each work their share of open and close shifts. The open shifts start as early as 6:30am and the close shift finishes around 6:30pm. All of our Baristas are paid £12.75 per hour.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Delight every customer with our magnificent Coffi Lab customer service.
  • Craft consistently beautiful coffee with basic latte art, following recipe and presentation standards and understanding all milks served.
  • Help the team keep the store spotless – ensuring it is a nice place to both work in and visit.
  • Multitask and follow processes to maintain both speed of service and quality of product during busy periods.
  • Be dependable; a true team player keeps everything running smoothly.
  • Communicate clearly; effective and efficient communication skills are important.
  • Stay organized; manage all tasks to keep the customer experience consistent from first to last.
  • Remain steady; adapt to changes in pace both up and down.
  • Be friendly, approachable, kind, and welcoming to colleagues and customers alike.
Qualifications

Experience within a high‐volume retail, hospitality, or restaurant environment is desirable but not essential. Previous coffee experience is also desirable; however, full training and support will be provided.
