Our wonderful Coffi Lab Baristas are central to the creation of the exceptional customer experience that we strive for. Providing prompt service and great tasting coffee in a warm, friendly and engaging manner. If you want to join a company with heart and enjoy daily visits from our friendly, four‑legged customers, this could be the opportunity for you. We are looking for someone to join our Abergavenny team working approximately three days per week (24 hours). We are open seven days per week and require a high degree of flexibility. Rota is prepared at least a week in advance. All Baristas work their share of open and close shifts, with open shifts starting as early as 6:30 am and close shifts finishing around 6:30 pm. All Baristas are paid £12.75 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Delight every customer with our magnificent Coffi Lab customer service.
  • Craft consistently beautiful coffee with basic latte art, following recipe and presentation standards and understanding all milks served.
  • Help your team keep the store spotless, ensuring that it is a nice place to both work in and visit.
  • Multitask and follow processes to maintain speed of service and quality of product in a busy environment.
  • Be dependable, a team player, and operate like clockwork.
  • Be clear, using effective and efficient communication skills to get your message across.
  • Be organised, juggling multiple tasks to keep the customer experience consistent from start to finish.
  • Stay steady, coping with changing pace as the store becomes very busy.
  • Be friendly, approachable, kind, and welcoming to customers while enjoying fun at work.

Qualifications

  • Experience within a high‑volume retail, hospitality, or restaurant environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Previous coffee experience is also desirable; full training and support will be provided.
