We are hiring a Senior Process Engineer (Water and Wastewater) based in Midlands, UK.

Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with the Design Manager to deliver Coffey design works across Ireland and the UK for public and private sector clients.
2. Assist the Tendering Department by producing high-quality tender submissions by set deadlines.
3. Develop process design deliverables for various project stages, including process selection, calculations, P&ID and PFD development, mass balance, system description, and control philosophy.
4. Support the commercial/estimating team in developing CAPEX and OPEX models.
5. Review and develop Coffey\’s tender and detailed designs; propose value engineering measures to enhance economic viability.
6. Conduct site visits to municipal and private water/wastewater treatment plants, produce assessment reports with recommendations and preliminary cost estimates.
7. Produce Drinking Water Safety Plans following WHO standards, including risk assessment, monitoring, and reporting.
8. Review designs for O&M considerations and participate in HAZOP studies.
9. Manage time effectively to complete work within timelines and budgets.
10. Provide technical process support to the O&M Department, including testing, audits, and process improvement recommendations.
11. Assist in testing and commissioning water/wastewater treatment plants.
12. Advise the Commercial Department on O&M commercial and contractual matters.
13. Work flexibly across project locations with regular travel.
14. Mentor junior engineers, scientists, technicians, and designers.

About You

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in process design or equivalent.
• Proven experience in delivering technical designs across process, civil, mechanical, and electrical/ICA disciplines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and 2D/3D CAD software.
