Godalming Minster is looking for an approachable administrator who can balance people and process to deliver a great experience to our active members and the community of Godalming which we serve. With four church sites, and a wide range of activities, Godalming Minster is a busy place, constantly seeking to meet the changing needs in our parish. This primarily outward facing role sits within the operations and admin team, and focuses on looking after those who entrust their most significant life events to us, and community groups, organisations and individuals who wish to make use of our fantastic facilities.

The successful candidate will have proven administrative experience in customer facing roles, and solid IT skills with the confidence to learn new applications. They will enjoy being part of a lively and supportive clergy and staff team and share our commitment to safeguarding, undertaking training as required. As we look to develop our Church Street site over time, a pride and respect for our heritage and traditions, an appetite for progress, and a degree of flexibility will also stand them in good stead.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Oversee and deliver the administration for community and mission activities
  • Administration for Occasions: Weddings, Funerals and Burials
  • Oversee the internal and external bookings for all Minster locations and facilities
  • Work with the Operations and Communications Manager to support the production and delivery of communications for mission and outreach activities
  • Provide administrative support for other Minster activities
  • Oversee the provision of worship resources and supplies at all Minster churches
  • Offer administrative support to the Minster Clergy Team and Older People’s Ministry
  • Oversee the office at Godalming Minster Church Street and provide a welcoming presence to visitors at certain times in the week

The Essentials:
