Job Description
- To deliver new business sales to meet individual target and team target.
- Liaise with the Commercial Department to ensure prudent Commercial Underwriting of Credit Insurance Business, adhering to Group and UK Rules and Standards.
- Develop interest and awareness in the Credit Insurance market in your allocated geographical region to generate leads and secure profitable business for Coface.
- Identify opportunities for all Coface product lines, thereby maximising contribution to the business while converting internal leads presented.
- Develop and build a network of introducers and a panel of general insurance brokers in your geographical area to provide you new business leads.
- Work closely with Commercial Underwriting, the Marketing Department and any external marketing resource employed, in managing leads and feeding back activity results.
- Work closely with the Client Services & Contract Services teams to ensure a timely and efficient service to prospects and clients.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Delivery of budgeted targets for new sales for credit insurance.
- Generate and follow up leads and appointments through own networking and proactive prospecting as well as using Coface marketing resources.
- Update and maintain the CRM system.
- Manage relationships with prospects and introducers.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Price cases via the PEPS pricing tool.
- Produce accurate contract documentation via CofaFlow system.
- Do full KYC (know your customer) and UBO (ultimate beneficial owner) checks on all policies sold.
Qualifications
- Degree educated (2.1) in a Finance, Business or related field.
- Previous sales experience is essential (min of 3 years) and previous TCI industry experience is desirable.
- Autonomous: able to self-motivate and focus on goals and activities while working on one’s own.
- Sales negotiation and communication skills.
- Prioritisation: determines the importance of each task and allocates time accordingly.
- In depth familiarity and knowledge of various contract structures in order to know how best to negotiate between price and risk.
- Knowledge of current economic climate and how it affects the market.
- Driven with the ability to thrive in a target driven environment.
- Proven track record in meeting and exceeding targets.
- Proven track record in building long term relationships internally and externally.
- An understanding of compliance in a regulated environment.
