Job Description:

MISSION: Ensure that credit insurance contracts including derogatory terms and conditions will generate a profitable growth at Regional and country level; Support the commercial staff in sharing expertise and providing solutions to meet our clients’ needs; Make sure that the branch's credit insurance policies include wordings approved by the group and terms and conditions compliant with both our Group Rules and the local jurisdictions.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review derogation requests submitted by the commercial staff relating to credit insurance policies, make decisions on derogatory items if the decision can be made with his/her level of authorities and issue recommendations to their Country Manager and to the Regional CUW team.
  • Connect, at country and regional levels, with both the commercial team to know the background of a request and the rationale behind it and with the Risk Underwriting department to share views and align his/her stance.
  • Prepare specific wordings to meet a client's need and submit to the Group Commercial UW department.
  • Remain aware of current credit insurance trends through the development of a good working relationship with other sources of industry news and development.
  • Maintain all required records of proposals and any other relevant information to enable performance to be measured and monitored.
  • Communicate changes about Commercial Underwriting rules and contribute to train the country sales force.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Credit insurance industry & Coface's portfolio of products and tools.
  • Contract management experience and in-depth familiarity and knowledge of various contract structures.
  • Clear understanding of current economic climate, knowledge in International / Foreign Trade, understanding of trade instruments such as letters of credit, bills of exchange, and incoterms.
  • Assertive & quick decision-making capabilities, high degree of analytical competence, good skills in collaboration, ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems/tools and the ability to work under pressure.
  • A degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Banking or equivalent.
  • At least 5+ years of finance background within a sales/account management or claims environment ideally within the credit insurance industry or banking/factoring organization.
  • Fluent in English and preferably in the language of the Country.
  • Previous experience in a multicultural/international corporate environment will be a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications: Outlook, Word, Excel.
