Due to consistent growth, it is enabling us to expand out our Consulting teams. As a Principal Consultant, you will be responsible for building and leading projects from a technical point of view, ensuring we retain the highest level of quality consistently across the delivery. There will be at times, a requirement to travel, visiting client sites across the UK and occasionally abroad, with nights away from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and technical governance for consultants working on different client projects.
- Be proactive on driving quality deliverables for our clients using technology and recommended practices.
- Drive engagement delivery and work with the Business Development team to support sales opportunities.
- Understanding and shaping a project’s scope to deliver on time and within budget.
- Capable of raising risks and issues with the Coeo team where required.
- Help further develop internal processes, standards and service offerings to improve efficiencies and services.
- Maintain existing and support future certifications and accreditations, aligned to Coeo’s strategy.
- Be a technical escalation point for the delivery team members and ensure that delivery quality and client satisfaction are achieved.
- Work with Coeo’s strategic clients by providing strategic guidance, support and satisfying the expectations and requirements of our clients.
- Working with our internal delivery team to provide mentoring, support and quality assurance.
Technical Skills
You’ll need to have experience with some of the following and be able to learn new technologies or concepts quickly:
- Experience with Microsoft Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience in modelling, building and managing data warehouses to store and organize large volumes of data, as well as the implementation of Lakehouse architectures.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing ETL / ELT processes to integrate data from different sources.
- Proficiency in Python for data loading, analysis and machine learning.
- Familiarity with Hadoop and Spark for large-scale data processing.
- Advanced knowledge of tools like Power BI for data visualisation and presentation.
- Strong understanding of statistical methods and their application in data analysis and predictive modelling.
Project Delivery Experience
You’ll likely have experience delivering projects to external users:
- At least 5 years of experience in working with Microsoft data technologies.
- At least 8+ years Professional Services experience in a client facing environment.
- Strong understanding of BI and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with data modelling, data structures, databases, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including prioritising, problem solving and relationship building.
- Ability to understand and articulate requirements to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience delivering in an agile project delivery environment.

- Experience in leading and working with clients and team members to deliver exceptional outcomes.
- Commercial experience, supporting pre-sales activities, such as work estimations and scoping for generation of SoWs.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships and uphold exceptional level of client satisfaction.
- Proven written and spoken English, with strong written skills.
- Strategic and operational decision-making skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Ability to guide, direct or influence people.
