About the Role
As a Senior Consultant, you'll work alongside some of the industry's most experienced Data, Analytics & AI professionals, delivering innovative solutions for organizations across a wide range of sectors.
You'll lead client engagements, design modern data platforms, solve complex technical challenges, and help organizations realize the value of their investments in Microsoft technologies.
We expect our consultants to combine strong technical expertise with excellent communication and consulting skills, bringing a growth mindset to every client engagement.
This is primarily a client-facing role and will involve occasional travel to client sites across the UK, and on occasion internationally.
This may include overnight stays when required to support project delivery and client engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver complex Data & AI, analytics and platform modernization projects using Azure data services including
- Microsoft Fabric and
Azure Databricks .
- Lead client workshops, architecture discussions and technical engagements.
- Design scalable, secure and governed data platform and analytics solutions.
- Support sales and pre‑sales activities, including solution design and commercial proposals.
- Develop data models, semantic models and insight solutions that drive business value.
- Advocate adoption, change management and data‑driven decision making.
- Mentor consultants and champion engineering best practice.
- Produce high‑quality technical and client‑facing documentation.
- Manage project risks, dependencies and technical delivery outcomes.
- Technical Skills
- Strong experience designing and delivering modern data platforms using
Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL and Data Lake technologies .
- Proven experience implementing
Lakehouse, Data Warehouse and Medallion Architecture patterns, including data modelling, governance and performance optimization .
- Expertise in building scalable data ingestion, transformation and orchestration pipelines, integrating data from cloud, on‑premises and third‑party business systems.
- Strong hands‑on capability with
SQL, Python, Spark and Py Spark for data engineering, analytics and automation workloads.
- Experience with
- Azure Databricks and/or
Microsoft Fabric engineering workloads, including notebooks, Delta Lake, data transformation, optimization and operationalization of data solutions.
- An understanding of data governance, security, lineage and data quality, using tools and frameworks such as Microsoft Purview and enterprise governance practices.
- Experience developing
Power BI semantic models , dashboards and reporting solutions that enable self‑service analytics and business decision‑making.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and Dev Ops practices for deploying and managing modern data platforms.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, secure and supportable data and analytics solutions.
- Project Delivery Experience
- 5+ years' experience delivering
- Data & AI, analytics or data platform projects using Microsoft and/or
Azure Databricks technologies.
- 3-5 years' experience in a client‑facing consultancy or professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of
Lakehouse, Data Warehousing, data modelling and modern analytics architectures.
- Experience building data pipelines, integration solutions and cloud-based data platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management, workshop facilitation and communication skills.
- Able to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solution design.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and consulting capabilities.
