Job Description
Statement of purpose -
- To deliver a high quality of education
- To secure high levels of progress and enjoyment
- To implement all relevant Partnership andschool policies.
- To contribute to the Team Improvement Planfor Geography and its implementation.
- To contribute to the implementation of theSchool Development Plan.
- To produce high quality lesson plans withsupporting resources for own classes.
- To share planning and resources with othercolleagues.
- To share model answers with students sothey can assess their work and the work of their peers so they know how to improve.
- To provide students with feedback aftermilestone assessments so they know what they need to do to improve.
- To maintain appropriate paper based andelectronic records on SIMS.
- To track student progress and use information toinform teaching and learning and the development of the curriculum.
- To consistentlydeliver high quality teaching and learning experiences that lead to high levelsof progress, learner interest and enjoyment.
- To ensure effectivecommunication with parents of students.
- To contribute tomarketing activities and help to promote the Partnership of schools.
- To register students in a tutor group,encourage their full attendance and their full participation in all aspects ofschool life.
- To monitor attendance, achievement and behaviour and support its development for studentsin a tutor group.
- To deliver PSHEE during tutor time.
- To communicate with parents and people concernedwith the welfare of students.
- To promote and safeguard the welfare ofchildren and young persons you are responsible for or come into contact with.
- To be aware of and comply with policies andprocedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security,confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriateperson.
- To be aware of, support and ensure equalopportunities for all.
- To contribute to the overall ethos, work andaims of the school
- To play a full part in the life of theschool community, to support its vision, mission and ethos and to encouragestaff and students to follow this example.
- To undertake any other duty as specified inthe STRB not mentioned above.
