As we continue to grow, we are strengthening our HR function and are looking for an organised and reliable HR Administrator to support the team.
About the Role
The HR Administrator will support the HR Manager and HR Advisor with the smooth running of day to day HR administration across the organisation. The role requires previous experience in an HR environment and a strong understanding of core HR administration, including employee records, onboarding, pre-employment checks, HR documentation and employee lifecycle processes. You will also provide administrative support across payroll, learning and development, employee relations and wider HR projects, helping ensure HR activity is accurate, well organised and delivered to a consistent standard.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support the HR Manager and HR Advisor with day to day HR administration.
- Maintain accurate employee records, files and HR system data.
- Prepare HR documents, letters and employee correspondence.
- Support onboarding, probation, contractual changes and leaver processes.
- Coordinate pre-employment checks, including right to work checks, references, DBS checks and qualification checks where required.
- Help maintain records for right to work, visa expiry dates and sponsored workers.
- Support payroll administration by preparing and checking employee change information.
- Provide administration support for employee relations processes, including meeting invites, notes and letters.
- Support learning and development administration, including training records and bookings.
- Assist with HR projects, people initiatives and process improvements.
- Act as a first point of contact for general HR administration queries, escalating more complex matters where needed.
- Handle confidential information with care and professionalism.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Strong administration experience, ideally in HR, education, compliance, professional services or a busy office environment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace or similar systems.
- Experience handling confidential or sensitive information.
- A practical, reliable and professional approach.
- Clear interest in developing a career in HR.
Desirable
- Previous experience in an HR Administrator role.
- Experience supporting onboarding or pre-employment checks.
- Awareness of right to work checks, visa processes or sponsorship compliance.
- Exposure to payroll administration.
- Exposure to employee relations administration, such as arranging meetings, preparing letters or taking notes.
- CIPD Level 3, working towards CIPD, or an interest in studying towards it.
- Experience in education, higher education or a regulated environment.
